About Rope Access Maintenance UK
Rope Access Maintenance UK, trusted rope access specialists UK wide, was founded in November 2020 by two industry veterans, Josh Scoltock and Dan Lisher, with a combined experience of over 16 years working at height across the UK and internationally.
What started as a passion for heritage restoration and high-level building maintenance has grown into one of the UK’s most trusted rope access specialists, serving clients nationwide from Manchester to London
Our Story
Josh and Dan didn’t arrive at rope access through a classroom — they earned their expertise the hard way, on some of the most demanding projects the industry has to offer.
Josh has worked extensively across the Middle East, taking on complex industrial shutdowns and high-level access projects alongside specialist steeplejacks, repairing chimneys and structures that most contractors would never attempt. Dan brings equally broad international experience, having worked on projects across Thailand as well as major construction sites throughout the UK.
Between them, Josh and Dan have faced virtually every high-level access challenge the industry can throw at a team — and built the skills to handle them.
From high-rise window cleaning to facade inspections, we offer cost-effective alternatives to traditional access methods, minimising disruption and ensuring top-quality results.
Why We Started the Business
After years of working within the industry and seeing how rope access was often treated as an afterthought — handed to undertrained teams with the wrong attitude to safety — Josh and Dan decided to do it differently.
